Mad Max: Fury Road was released in 2015 and the have won a lot of different awards they won BAFTA awards for best editing,best production design, best costume design and best make up and hair. AFI award for movie of the year, AACTA International award for best film and direction. Mad max has been nominted for many awards but the ones stated above are the ones which they won, all these award shows us the success rate of the film, this film has won the most awards than other film, also we can see that they have a lot of awards for costume so it shows the budget has been put in for costume and the design of each individual characters, we see they were nominated for may costume and production design awards shows us people loved the costume as it was very unique.
One technical element i think they done well in the trailer was the camera work as it shows the detail for example they use a close up at 0:42 showing the face of the masked character then the camera goes behind them very fast this shows us wear the sound is coming from and why the characters expression was like that. Another technical element i liked was the audio because at 0:03 when we hear all the sound is taken out and we see the sound of the characters breathing is put in this builds a tension i believe and it makes it a lot entertaining to watch. One content element i liked in this film was the story line at 0:02 when we see the character getting chased and then we see different camera position this gives the audience a lot more detail and will make them continue to watch the film. Another content element i like from the above film is the genre which is action, this means that the is a lot of active scene by this i mean it's not just someone sitting a lot of different things happen and we see a fight scene at 0:56 this makes it more entertaining for the audience to watch and they won't get bored this means them watching the whole film. Overall i think this film is relevant to my short film as we see the action genre which will be included in my short film where we see an intense chase, also i think Mad Max:Fury Road will help me develop my short film as there is a lot of scene like the chase scene at the beginning of the trailer where i have got inspiration to use similar camera language which we see and also i would want to use the breathing sound effect i think that keeps the audience interested and entertained.

The big short film was released in 2015 and they have won many award since then, they have won Oscar for best writing and adapted screenplay in the Academy awards USA which was in 2016. AFI Awards USA for Movie of the year, The big short film was nominated for many awards but won the ones above, this tells the success of the film as the won award for movie of the year which is a big deal and we see that they won a two awards for adapted screenplay this means that they must have excellent adapted screenplay as it has been noticed. One technical element in the film is the camera language that is used for example at 0:51 we see them sit in a group and they start talking, we see the camera is in a over shoulder shot the effect this has for the audience is that it gives them extra detail as they can see facial expression. Another technical element is the sound effect which is used at 0:09 when we hear the dialing tone, this has been added as a sound effect when editing this makes it more clear for the audience to hear and i think it builds tension as the audience does not know why there is dialing tone. One content element is the characters at 01:21 when we see friend at a golf course enjoying their self drinking beer on a summer day, the effect this has on the audience is that it is very relateable to the audience and i think this will get them more interested to watch the whole of the film. Another content element would be the story line as we see the characters having a problem when they are not making enough money at work then they find a way to solve the issue. Overall i think that this film is relevant to my shot film as we understand that the whole film is about friends who are in a dilemma and then find ways of solving the problem. What we may take out of the film is the camera language for example when you see the friends enjoying their self they have a long shot which we may use as i like the fact that we can see the bond of the friendship. Lion won BAFTA Award for Best supporting actor and best screenplay, won AACTA International awards for best supporting actor and best supporting actress, won Asia Pacific Screen Awards for Best performance by an actor. All these awards tells us the success and we see they won many awards for best actors and actress which shows us that the film is a piece of art from the acting. One technical element is the camera language which we see is a long shot at 0:24 of the two character running on the track, this shows the audience the action and gives them detail on where the scenery and location. Another technical element is the audio at 0:12 when we hear the high beat intense at that moment, the effect this has on the audience is that it builds suspense and makes them ask questions and makes them watch the whole film, this means them being more entertained while watching the movie. One content element from the film i like is the story at 0:09 when we see the friends in a circle and are socialising and the fact that he says he does not where he is from shows the lost background information and he is not too short, the effect this has on the audience is that it makes them ask questions and wonder why, this means them continuing to watch the whole film. Another content element would be the fact that character where we see they are very young at 0:14 this is the kind of age characters which the audience relate to and the audience are more interested. Overall i think this film is relevant to my short film as the story line is similar in different term for example our short film the character get lost in the head and do not know what they are doing whereas in the film it is about the character not knowing where they come from. What elements will be taking from this film is the camera language most diffidently as a lot of shots which will be relavant to our short film like the long shot which i have mentioned above. Also after watching this trailer it has developed my idea because now i know how i will structure as the beginning always should be normal then will see a how a problem evolves then they go on a journey and ends solving the problem this has helped me as i can now adapt all this to our idea.
